A Limited Collection by Audemar Piguet - Openwork Extra-Thin Royal Oak 40th Anniversary Limited Edition at SIHH 2012
In due time Audemars Piguet has become the first company, which manufactured watches in category “luxury”. The watches from the collection of Royal Oak since its introduction on the watch market are still considered one of the legendary models among the diversity of the watch market.
This year the iconic collection is performed forty years and to the significant event the company has timed the presentation of the limited collection at SIHH 2012.
A limited collection Openwork Extra-Thin Royal Oak 40th Anniversary Limited Edition (Ref: 15203PT.OO.1240PT.01) is released to the fortieth anniversary of the legendary collection.
The base of the presented watch became the manufactory automatic movement Calibre 5122 with a diameter of 28.40mm (121 / 2 lines) and a thickness of 5.3 mm, made on the basis of 36 jewels and consisting of 249 parts. The power reserve is of 40 hours, the frequency of balance - 19.800 vph.
The model case with a diameter of 39 mm is made of platinum 950 and equipped with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal on both sides. The watch water resistant is 50 meters. The dial is skeletonized and made with applied hour markers in white gold. The watch bracelet is from metal, made of platinum 950 and equipped with a brand’s folding clasp AP.
