Ulysse Nardin Moscow dinner party
On Wednesday, the legendary Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has arranged dinner party in Moscow, dedicated to the anniversary of the opening of its mono-brand boutique in Moscow. The event was visited by the famous general watchmaker Ludwig Ohslin. His collaboration with the watch manufactory gave the world such masterpieces as the mechanical alarm watch, a perpetual calendar module, an astronomical watch and a whole host of industry-relevant models. All of them, together with the watches Freak and Moonstruck were presented to the guests behind the sparkling windows.
The evening was held in the predominantly blue tones clearance. Visitors of the dinner are offered the gourmet masterpieces of seafood and are given gifts. Patrick Hoffman, the CEO of Ulysse Nardin, opened the dinner: "Travelling the world over and over again I am thinking about what attracts customers in our watches? And now I realize that maybe it's not just a passion for timepieces, but works of art."
A touch of nostalgia was added by Ludwig Ohslin:
"Back in 1983, Rolf Schneider went to my studio and admired my astrolabe. He was so inspired by this astronomical clock that Rolf wanted to do with the same wrist one - and so began our collaboration."
The evening was attended by a Russian figure skater
Evgeni Plushenko, who became a new ambassador of Ulysse Nardin. He noted that cooperation with this watch manufactory is a great honor for him. Evgeni Plushenko will present a new collection, glorifying the achievements in sports. In the world of sports watches by Ulysse Nardin did not come from the laboratory, and of life itself: at the beginning of last century, their chronometers installed on vessels of 50 countries of the world, were assisted in the most difficult conditions to win the oceans. During its existence, Ulysse Nardin has been awarded with 18 gold medals. The winner of 40 gold medals, Evgeni Plushenko at the gala dinner talked a little about his collaboration with the brand:
"In my collection there are Ulysse Nardin Monaco YS and El Toro. I met with Mr. Schneider, who owned the company, a year ago. He was incredibly cheerful person, much loved sport, and we immediately began discussing cooperation: how to combine the most harmonious luxury and sport? In August 2011 we visited the factory with Jana at Le Locle and my dream was fulfilled to see live, how to create a Swiss watch. During the tour, Patrick Hoffman even gave me the liked watch.
This was followed by a final decision on the issue in January 2012 my own line of watches Ulysse Nardin Plushenko in the design of which I attended. The dial of the new items will be carried out in ice blue colors, and hands and case of gold remind gold medals. The watch will be released in 250 limited edition watches Ulysse Nardin Plushenko - this is my pride. "
