The famous watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has expanded its Freak collection with a novelty Freak Cruiser, which is a floating anchor in the form of an oscillating bridge on the dial.

The original model is devoid of the dial and hands. In the central part, a mechanism rotates, allowing the lower bridge to indicate hours, and the top one - minutes. The upper bridge consists of a gear, the silicon balance spring and escapement Dual Ulysse. This system is called carousel tourbillon. It is mobile - it supports the central axis, not fixed at the base, which in the previous watch was made of sapphires and supported the entire structure.
The silicon Dual Ulysse escapement is a unique development. The mechanism is provided with wheels, each of the two wheels has 18 operating teeth, which provides a more stable distribution. This structure does not require lubrication and ensure supply pulse in the rotational direction of the balance wheel.
The balance spring is made using a unique material, which was called "Silicon 1.1.1." The balance-lifting angle is 32 ° degrees while the typical Swiss anchor escapement-lifting angle is 48 °. This structure is much more stable balance of work and the number of oscillations is reduced to a minimum. The work of the mechanism UN- 205 with manual winding, frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and 7 - day power reserve can be seen through the back plate of sapphire glass.
The dial is placed in a 43 mm case in 18- carat rose or white gold.

The watch is denied the crown; it is wound an unusual way. A special safety device that prevents arbitrary rotation of the bezel, is located between the lugs at the 6 o’clock position. Lifting the protector, one can set the time by rotating the bezel to one side or the other. The winding is carried out by means of the lower bezel, which is located on the back of the watch.
The novelty Freak Cruiser comes on a leather strap with a folding clasp.
