Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin, which for over 160 years has been producing non-standard models of perfect quality, has introduced a new model - Classico Limited Edition Santa Maria.
Santa Maria - a ship on which Christopher Columbus made his most famous journey. The team is often called the ship «Marigalante» («Gallant Mary"). Santa Maria has surpassed the size of the ships La Niña and La Pinta, and became one of the most important ships in history, representing the courage and reliability.
Gorgeous models developed by the company Ulysse Nardin, tell the history of the noble ship, and its adventures. The novelty Classico Limited Edition Santa Maria is dedicated the three- mast ship "Santa Maria", on which Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492.

The model is available in two versions: with a case in diameter of 40 mm, made of 18 carat white gold (Ref. 8150-111-2/SM) and with a case of 18-carat rose gold (Ref. 8156-111-2/SM). In decorating the dial is used by ancient technique of Cloisonné. This technique, which in French literally means "partition off" involves creating an image with some stained cells, which depict a story. The cells are made of bent wire and filled with colored enamel. On a dark blue background of the dial are shown proud ship masts and sails, flags, developing the wind, sun spray, raised wooden hull, divinizing the blue expanse of the sea.
The model Classico Limited Edition Santa Maria is the result of skill and hard work, to make the dial takes up to 54 processes, about 50 hours. Such work can be made by a limited number of artists who own many complex techniques that are necessary to create these dials. Original dials are protected by antiglare sapphire crystal.
