Officine Panerai Presents Luminor 1950 Rattrapante 8 Days Titanio - 47 mm Watch
Officine Panerai presents the new Luminor 1950 Rattrapante 8 Days Titanio watch, in which Panerai classic design blends perfectly with the technical elements of the highest-level sports watches.
Luminor 1950 Rattrapante 8 Days Titanio – this split-chronograph with a vertical descent and two column-wheels provides many opportunities available in time instruments of the highest class. This chronograph is based on manufacturing caliber P.2006, completely designed by the watchmaker Officine Panerai in Neuchâtel.
Split-chronograph function, also known as rattrapante, operates two second’s hands, which are connected to each other, but at the same time, partially independent. A button at the 8 o’clock position operates the first second’s hand and is the main chronograph hand. The second hand, and control buttons at the 10 o'clock, is used to measure the individual time intervals (e.g. laps) or the second event taking place simultaneously with the first.
The mechanical hand-wound caliber P.2006 has an impressive power reserve of eight days, which is the traditional measure for Panerai watches. It has been achieved at the expense of their patented system of three barrels. Power reserve is reflected by on a leaner indicator at the 6 o’clock position.
For accurate the synchronization of the watch, the mechanism in P.2006 has a reset function of the second’s hand, which takes the hands to zero by stopping the balance wheel to turn the crown. It is enough to turn the crow in the proper position.
The case of the Luminor 1950 8 Days Titanio Rattrapante watch is made of brushed titanium and has a diameter of 47 mm, it is equipped with a proprietary crown protection device, which provides water resistance to depths of 100 meters.
The bezel is made of brushed titanium and surrounds a large black dial, which is simple and sporty elegance. It consists of two discs, separated by a layer of luminescent material Super-LumiNova ®. Such method of dial’s creating is used in the Panerai watches from the 30's of the last century and provides a perfect readability in the most difficult conditions.
The Luminor 1950 Rattrapante 8 Days Titanio (PAM00530) watch is supplied on a rubber strap. The watch is included into a a collection of Specialities.
