Novelty by Panerai: 1950 LUMINOR MARINA 3 DAYS AUTOMATIC - 42 mm Watch
Bestseller of the Officine Panerai manufacture collections, the model Luminor Marina first is released in a completely new case in diameter of 42 mm. The new Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic watch is available in two versions: sporty in steel case (PAM00392) and more stylish with the case of red gold (PAM00393).
The new Luminor 1950 case size does not change the proportions of classic models, inspired by a watch that Panerai set up in the 40s for the Navy commandos in Italy. Like the historical model, the new Luminor Marina watch is equipped with a device protecting the crown, which provides the water-resistant of the case at great depths and protects the head from accidental damage. The crown allows you to move the hour hand in increments of 1 hour with an automatic transfer date in either direction without stopping the progress of a complex mechanism.

The dial is minimalist and made in classic design, it is made by "sandwich" technology developed by textiles in the 30s for best readability under water and in difficult lighting conditions, between two metal disks, on the upper of which is cut numbers and markers, is a layer of luminescent material Super-LumiNova ®. In the version with a steel case the dial is in black, the watches are equipped with a black alligator strap. In the version with the case of red gold, brown dial and strap, this perfectly harmonizes with the color of the luminescent material Super-LumiNova ®.
While the design of watches is made in strict conjunction with the brand's history and its spirit, the choice of materials and the manufacturing caliber P.9000 demonstrate the commitment of Panerai to continuous improvement. The case of Luminor Marina watch is made of stainless steel AISI 316L with low carbon content, which ensures high resistance to corrosion. The case of the more elegant version is made of the red-gold alloy 5Npt, where in addition to gold, copper containing a high percentage (24.1%), which gives color depth and 0.4% of platinum, which prevents oxidation.
For the new Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic watch has been selected an automatic caliber P.9000, completely designed and produced at the manufactory in the Panerai in Swiss Neuchatel. It has a three-day power reserve, which is provided by two winding barrels actuated the rotor rotating in both directions. The caliber has a diameter of 13 ¾ lines, its thickness is 7.9 mm.
