SIHH 2012: New Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days and Luminor 1950 3 Days Power Reserve Watches by Panerai
New watches, presented by Panerai at the famous Geneva exhibition SIHH 2012 - could be called a model of perfect combination of vintage design and modern achievements of the watchmaking. The creators of the novelties could pass the characteristic style of Panerai watches, which creation was inspired by history of the most famous watches from the company.
Both models are made of stainless steel AISI 316L, a device that protects the crown - made of polished steel. The watch dial is made in the construction of "sandwich". The Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days (Ref: RAM00422) watch and the Luminor 1950 3 Days Power Reserve (Ref: RAM00423) watch is equipped with the new manufactory caliber R.3001 and R.3002, respectively, which differ from each other only in the way of power reserve indexing.
The Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days (Ref: RAM00422) watch operates on the basis of an exclusive manufactory caliber R.3001 consisting of 207 parts, which thickness is 6.3 mm, based on 21 jewels. The frequency of the balance is 21,600 vibrations per hour. The power reserve - 3 days.
The watch case in diameter of 47 mm and bezel are made of polished stainless steel AISI316L. The case back is a sapphire crystal. The front glass is sapphire, from corundum, with 3 mm thick and anti-reflective coating. The water resistant is up to 100 meters. The strap is leather, interchangeable.

The Luminor 1950 3 Days Power Reserve (Ref: RAM00423) are made on the basis of the manufacturing mechanical caliber R.3002with manual winding, fully developed in the company’s workshops. The thickness of the mechanism - 6.3 mm, number of lines - 161/2, the frequency of the balance of 21,600 vibrations per hour, power reservce - 3 days, 208 parts. Functions: hours, minutes, small seconds, power reserve indicator.
The watch case in diameter of 47 mm is made of polished stainless steel AISI 316L. The case back is sapphire. The crown is protected by a special device.
The black dial is decorated with Arabic hour indexes, covered with fluorescent compound; the power reserve indicator is located at 4 o’clock position. The front glass is sapphire, made from corundum, with a thickness of 3 mm. The watch water resistance is 100 meters. The watch strap is leather, interchangeable.
