New Extra-Thin Royal Oak Tourbillon Watch by Audemars Piguet
Swiss watch company Audemars Piguet at SIHH-2012 (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie) has introduced a new watch model Extra-Thin Royal Oak Tourbillon (Ref. 26 510), which is released in two versions: stainless steel and pink gold.
A case with the original form has a diameter of 41 mm. Thickness is 8.85 mm. The top of the case is equipped with a sapphire crystal. An elegant dial, shimmering with the color of the sky, is decorated in the style of "Petite Tapisserie". The dial is graduated by applied hour markers and hands, made of gold. For easy reading of data from the dial in any light, the hands and indexes are covered with the fluorescent compound. Tourbillon is set in an aperture located at 6 o’clock position.
Inside the case is built the Audemars Piguet developed new caliber 2924 with manual winding, which today is one of the most thin mechanisms with tourbillon complication. The thickness of the caliber is only 4.45 mm. The mechanism provides a 72-hour power reserve.
The Extra-Thin Royal Oak Tourbillon watch comes on a luxurious stainless steel bracelet or 18K rose gold, equipped with a folding clasp.
