Tough Solar - technology of the future

Tough Solar wrist watchRecharged by sunlight batteries with its advantages and disadvantages have already found their wide use in the watch industry. CASIO’s talented engineers tried to maximize the benefits of solar batteries in the development of their new innovative Tough Solar. In wrist watches solar power is collected and spent effectively: it is enough for a long and trouble-free operation of chronometer, and to support multiple complex and require a lot of energy functions that before the creation of technology Tough Solar for conventional solar battery was not possible. This is made possible by micro SOI. This SOI-technology ("silicon-on-insulator") is used in computers production and is based on the fact that transistors are not placed directly on the silicon board, but on its substrate of silicon dioxide, covering it. That is increases the photoelectric converter to a level that is more than enough to supply sophisticated sensors and transducers. In addition, the technology Tough Solar has a decent advantage: the need to replace the battery is excluded, which is quite convenient to use this watch, and this advantage reduces environmental and technological dilemmas associated with disposal, which is today one of the biggest problems.
In addition to the precise timing and the display on the digital display, the "smart" development Tough Solar also provides dial electroluminescent back light that automatically turns on in low light (less than 60 lux) and off with sufficient light. Tough Solar watches are also equipped with sensor of direction, which ensures the switching-on of the electroluminescent backlight of display at every turn to face. Energy-saving mode can be optionally turned off and when turning off produces a characteristic signal, or turn that promotes the rational use of energy. Watch display, respectively, "falls asleep" in the absence of need for indicators and "wakes up" in the event of exposure to light for 5 seconds or when you press the buttons. All watches Tough Solar have a graphical indicator of battery charge: in case of low battery, it is necessary simply substitute the clock to the light, and the necessary for the charge energy level will be restored.
Due to the low energy consumption, they not only managed to implement a very energy-intensive for the chronometer function, but also to reduce the area of solar panels up to 55% on used in early models of Casio. It makes possible to increase the display area for a more beneficial use. In addition to indicators of time on this display it made possible output and other indicators in digital or graphic form.
Triple Sensor PRG-50-1V watchTough Solar wristTide Graph (SPS-201-1V) watch watch will be the focus of attention, at first, of active people who use the extra complicated functions of watch. For example, athletes appreciate models from the Phys series with the technology Tough Solar (STR-200-1V), which allow readings during exercise due to its comfortable design.
Increased area of the display, electroluminescent back light which is on when the clock in the side of the face and is able to distinguish day and night, the shape and position of the buttons (on the position 6 and 12 o’clock), allowing the owner blindly turn on the necessary functions, and, finally, the function such as memory for 60 distances, which contains the date, size of distance, stopwatch at the finish and the intermediate result - all these essential and convenient features create relaxing mood in training, while improving their efficiency. Climbers will appreciate the series of Triple Sensor watches (triple sensor) with technology Tough Solar (PRG-50-1V). In addition to all the above characteristic features for Tough Solar technology, the models in this series have features such as an altimeter (a device for measuring the height), the barometer with a storage memory of the climb and the atmospheric pressure, a digital compass and thermometer.
Use of these functions is different at ease: one touch of a button displays the appropriate measurements. For people, passionately in love with the journey, perfectly fits a watch Simple Direction Finders (PRS-201B-2V), which, in addition to basic features Tough Solar, have simplified the direction indicator on the outer rim of the dial and graphic pointer of moon phases. For people who prefer sports with a "sea" theme, has been designed a line Tide Graph (SPS-201-1V), which models are equipped with a graphic display tides, moon phases, and a special timer for boaters. These models are presented with long slits on the straps and large, easy to use buttons.
Tough Solar watch is the embodiment of future technology on your wrist.
