Richard Mille and New RM 030 'Black Night' Limited Edition Watch
After the huge success of the RM 010 and RM 016 'Black Night' watches the Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille in summer of 2012 has announced a new model RM 030 'Black Night'.
The novelty has a titanium case with black DLC-coated, which creates a sharp contrast to the inner red ring of the fully skeletonized dial and red tipped second’s hand.
The novelty RM 030 'Black Night' operates on the manufactory mechanism RMAR1, which in the world of watches based on the automatic caliber is a great technical breakthrough.
Usually automatic watches are got by a small rotation of the rotor, produced by the physical movement of the user. The rotation of the rotor supplies energy to the winding barrel, and when at full winding it reaches the optimal point. And if it is over wound, the failure of the caliber is inevitable. To avoid this use a sliding flange that allows the spring to slide smoothly, which protects the mechanism from the twist. However, the winding barrel is accumulated over time with dirt, and the flange produces excess energy in the twist, which seriously affect the results of timing.

The company Richard Mille has developed a conceptually new rotor with variable geometry, which is automatically disabled. This system eliminates the possibility of twist, as the spring is automatically disconnected from the winding mechanism when the spring is fully wound. In addition, the mechanism is associated with a power reserve indicator, and you can completely control the level of the winding. Power reserve of the caliber with the carrying frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour is 55 hours. The mechanism provides a display function of hours, minutes, seconds and date.
The model RM 030 'Black Night' comes on a black rubber strap with a steel buckle in black DLC-coated.
The new watch is presented in a limited quantity of 25 items. To buy the model will be available in authorized shops of Richard Mille in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia.
