Glashütte Original at the 64th Berlin Film Festival

Glashütte Original's partnership with the Berlin International Film Festival is an integral part of the cultural program of the company for the past 4 years. Since 2011, the Saxon manufactory Glashütte Original is inextricably linked with the largest cultural event of the German capital. Since 2012, together with one of the direction of the festival «Perspektive Deutsches Kino» the company Glashütte Original awards «Made in Germany - Perspektive Fellowship», to support talented young German directors.

At the 64th Berlin Film Festival for the first time the company Glashütte Original supports the direction of "Retrospective". This direction includes films from around the world which come back to the "silver screen" of the black-and-white film, and presented in a historical context. Retrospective titled «Aesthetics of Shadow» became the second program, curated by the Museum of Modern Art. Thanks to the cooperation of the Museum of Modern Art series of film will also be shown in New York in April 2014.

Throughout the festival days the company Glashütte Original has a special "quiet zone": an exclusive lounge bar Glashütte Original Lounge on the 24th floor of the tower Kollhoff.

Filmmakers and journalists from around the world meet here appoint meeting about the movie, give interviews and arrange receptions. In cooperation with Deutsche Kinemathek lounge bar presents a unique exhibition: unforgettable cinematic couples with exclusive watches under the motto «Him & Her».
