BaselWorld 2012: Pano Graph Watch by Glashütte Original

Renowned watch company Glashütte Original for the annual exhibition BaselWorld 2012 has introduced a new watch from the Pano. Handmade mechanical models of the company have won great popularity and fame. For 12 years, these models are among the most refined and sophisticated watches. However, the Saxon manufactory Glashütte Original continuously brings in its design and construction changes and improvements.
The dials of the new watches from the Pano collection has presented on large sizes, combining classical elements in the form of the central hour and minute hands and subsidiary dials with a more refined decoration, additional details and perfect finish, in the result of which the models of the collection get the entirely new and elegant appearance. The models from the Pano collection combine watchmaking tradition and the latest manufacturing technology inherent in the brand Glashütte Original.
Clarity of the new design is typical for models of the Pano Graph collection with their balanced combination of red gold and silver. The models of Pano Graph mark the return and evolution of one of the most amazing watch. The first models of this line are presented at the world exhibition BaselWorld 12 years ago. These watches have begun a new line of handmade mechanical watches Pano, including the model Pano Graph, which was first presented at an exhibition in 2002.
Worthy successors of their incomparable predecessors have become the new models from the Pano Graph series.

The novelty Pano Graph (Ref. 61-03-25-15-05) has a bit large case; its diameter is 40 mm, thickness - 13.7 mm. It is made of 18-carat red gold. The large case of the novelty provides an opportunity to demonstrate the uniqueness of the brighter and the attractiveness of asymmetrical layout of the dial. In addition, due to increased dial the masters have an opportunity to shift the dial to the left with an extra hour and minute hand, interlocked with the second dial. The date aperture is retained its traditional place – at the 4 o’clock position.
Characteristic for the chronograph 30-minute pointer has acquired modern features, thanks to three ten-minute scales with three hands.
The crown is in the 3 o’clock position and surrounded by two button of the chronographs with hour markers "2" and "4" with black markings Fly-Back and Start-Stop, respectively. One of these buttons is provided for standard operations, and another - for a series of measurements with zero gaps between them.
The round case made of red gold is in harmony with the hour markers and hands on the primary and secondary dials made of pink gold. The dial is protected by a double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The transparent case back allows you to enjoy the work of the mechanism 61-03 on 41 jewels, with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a reserve of 42 hours, hand-made at the company Glashütte Original.
Winding by hand the chronograph with column wheel has a classic winding wheel, which controls all functions of hours, including starting, stopping and restarting. Flyback function allows you to restart the chronograph without stopping it. The work of the chronograph is controlled by two buttons, which are located on the right side of the case.
The case back is transparent and allows you to see details of the mechanism, including the traditional three-quarter plate, gold chatons with a screw, a balance with a coil spring and "swan neck" dual control.
The Pano Graph watch comes on a black strap from Louisiana alligator leather or brown nubuck.
