Rolex Ref. 8171 ''Padellone'' was sold for 1.14 million dollars

A star of the Christie`s “Important watches” auction, which was held on December 17 in New York, became Lot 186 - the model Rolex Ref. 8171 “Padellone” by the company Rolex in stainless steel with diamonds.

Known as the "Sleeping Beauty", the watch of 1953 was estimated at 250,000-350,000 dollars. After four bets of buyers from around the world, the model was sold for 1,145,000 dollars to the buyer, who wishes to remain anonymous.
There were billed 333 items at the Christie`s “Important watches” auction in New York, revenue was 12,926,175 dollars.
