An Advanced Explorer II by Rolex
Being endowed with distinctive features, the new wrist watch model Explorer II, released by watch brand Rolex, is standing out of the crowd. This season, the novelty is particularly fashionable.
The project the company Rolex is intended to submit in 2010, but the presentation was postponed until 2011 - exactly forty years after the first issue of the line Explorer II. For many years the company has adhered to certain principles: it produced models with large cases. Diameter of 40 mm cases remained unchanged. But the new Explorer II has a case in diameter of 42 mm.
The case may seem like a massive, if not the large size of the hands, crown and time markers. In short, all the components are matched perfectly.
A distinctive feature of Explorer II is the central orange hour hand, dubbed by Italian collectors of the Rolex watches «Freccione», which in Italian means "arrow".
The hands of the novelty, made in the sports-style, have a phantom effect, that is, the lower part of the minute and seconds hands are black, and when you look at the watch, it seems that the hands are floating free and not attached. The technique on the black dial with the hand is very effective, while on a white dial the hand with the black tip on the end creates a contrast.
Explorer II (ref.216570) is equipped with the manufactory caliber 3187, which consists of the latest technical innovations: Paraflex shock absorber and antimagnetic hairspring Parachrom, providing reliability and shock resistance, as befits a true Rolex.
The new Explorer II (ref.216570) is offered to the buyer in two versions of the dial: black and white. Recommended price of the novelty is 6400 Euros.
