The pocket watch has a rich history: at first, they were bought in the Breguet salon in Paris in 1831 by Lord Henry Seymour Conway, who bequeathed it to his brother, Richard Seymour Conway, 4th Earl of Hartford. Then the watch is switched to Sir Richard Wallace, the illegitimate son of a graph.

Subsequently, heirs of Sir Richard Wallace, who wore the watch to the death, transferred it to the auction house.
The historic Breguet pocket watch is equipped with a number of complications for the model of the era: the function of the equation of time, power reserve indicator, calendar and moon phase indicator, based on the principles of the chronograph. The ultra-thin gold guilloche case of the model is numbered 4691 and has a Seymours` family crest picture, surrounded by the Order of the Garter frame, surmounted by a royal crown.

In this regard, we are extremely pleased to the fact that the museum Breguet managed to get this masterpiece of watchmaking, which marks not only the genius of Breguet, the father of modern watchmaking, but is also a testament to the highest taste of the collector Sir Richard Wallace. Today`s successful auction and sales testify to the strength of the international watch market and the ever- growing demand for rare watches of the highest quality."
