New Version of Tradition 7047 Fusee Tourbillon Watch by Breguet at BaselWorld 2012

Each new model by the watch company Breguet, the history of which has over 200 years, combines the perfect design, traditional quality and modern production technology. As part of the modernization of watch production was the usage of silicon for the manufacture of movement parts.
In 2006, the company Breguet was used for the manufacture of silicon balance spring - one of the most important components of the movement, responsible for its accuracy. Regular oscillations of the balance spring set the mechanism rhythm and adjust the time course. Traditionally it was made of metal alloys, which yielded effects of gravity and magnetic fields, susceptible to shock, therefore, subjected to deformation. The silicon balance springs have a number of advantages: they are lighter metal analogues, resistant to corrosion, magnetic fields and gravity, are resistant to shock, etc.
Innovative development of watchmakers Breguet was first used in the line of La Tradition. In 2012, this range is added by another novelty - the Tradition Breguet 7047 Tourbillon Fusée Or Rose watch, the mechanism of which is equipped with a silicon balance spring, which has become traditional for all the models of the La Tradition collection.
The novelty, executed in a similar structural scheme of the first Breguet pocket watches with tourbillion is presented in the case of 18-carat pink gold. Special originality gives to watch the corrugated lateral surface of the case.
Decentralized guilloche watch dial at position 7 clock is made of 18 carat gold with a black coating. It contrasts with hour scale and Breguet-type central hands. On the primary disk, at the 1 o’clock position is the most elegant watch complication - the tourbillion.
The new model is equipped with a Breguet another complication - fusee with chain drive. The fusee mechanisms provide an exceptional accuracy. The fusee mechanism with chain transmission compensates for the weakening of the plant springs, maintaining optimum torque at a constant level throughout the period of reserve. For this the energy supply function of the mechanism, which is normally carried out only by a winding barrels, divided between the two components - the barrel itself and fusee. Connected to the barrel the fusee-chain drive provides a constant force during the entire period of the watch work.
The Tradition 7047 Fusee Tourbillon watch is completed by a mechanism Cal. 569 with manual winding (43 jewels, the vibration frequency of the balance - 18 800 pc / h, power reserve - 50 hours). The mechanism is assembled and decorated by hand; adjustment accuracy is made of the six positions.
The novelty Breguet with tourbillion and fusee-chain transmission was presented at the annual watch and jewelry exhibition BaselWorld 2012, which related to the watches of "Grande Complication" category.
