Baselworld-2013: Big Bang Unico by Hublot

Swiss watchmaker Hublot at the international exhibition Baselworld-2013 has introduced a new watch Big Bang Unico.
The famous Big Bang design in the novelty has been changed to reflect the specific characteristics of the Unico caliber, which is a chronograph with a horizontal double-clutch, visible on the dial side, and a column wheel.

The novelty Big Bang Unico has a massive case with a diameter of 45.5 mm, giving a stylish and dynamic image to the watch. Characteristic for the collection, the bezel is fixed by the 6 H-shaped screws with raised heads with alternating matte and polished surfaces. The screw-down crown, covered with rubber, is decorated with a famous letter H. The round buttons of the chronograph, equipped with a special safety device, are integrated into the side of the case and stylized as a piston of the engine.
The novelty is equipped with a proprietary system “One click”, which allows easily changing a wide variety of straps. A structured corrugated strap made of natural rubber, in common with the case side elements, equips the watch.

The skeletonized dial, through which it is possible to observe the work of the manufacturing caliber, is marked by indices and volume Arabic numerals with cavities filled with SuperLuminova ™, and two indicators, decorated with polished rings. The minute indicator is located at the 3 o'clock position, the indicator of the small second’s hand – at the 9 o’clock position and date aperture - at the 3 o'clock position. Time indication is carried out by means of the central hands with two facets, filled with SuperLuminova ™.
The Big Bang Unico watch operates on the base of the manufacturing caliber Unico with the function of flyback, consisting of 330 components, with a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and 72-hour power reserve.
