Hublot watch in honor of Brazilian architect
The watch company Hublot is the official timekeeper of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Competitions are not soon to start, but Hublot has launched an active part in the cultural life of Brazil. And in honor of the 104th birthday of the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer the watch company has released a new watch Hublot Aero Bang Niemeyer.
An item of the new watch has been handed personally to the architect. The novelty Hublot Aero Bang Niemeyer is issued in a limited edition of 104 instances. To implement in this model Oscar Niemeyer’s enthusiasm towards the bizarre forms of reinforced concrete, the designers of Hublot have created its case from blasting tantalum. The hands and hour indexes of the model are performed in the yellow-green colors of the Brazil flag and on the case back is emblazoned a picture of one of the most famous projects of the architect - the Palace of the National Congress and the signature of Niemeyer.
The novelty was handed to Oscar Niemeyer in his residence in Kapakabana by Rick Delacroix – the president of Hublot in Latin America. Ironically, the architect was given an item numbered 104/104, ie, not the first watch of limited edition, but the last one. But it can be easily explained by the fact that the number 104 corresponds exactly to the age of Oscar Niemeyer.
Hublot Aero Bang Niemeyer is equipped with an automatic caliber HUB4214 with chronograph functions and a 42-hour power reserve. Its matt black dial is skeletonized. Bezel is on the black six screws.
Of course, to buy Hublot Aero Bang Niemeyer will be possible only in Brazil.
