BaselWorld-2014: Pontos S Supercharged by Maurice Lacroix
At the upcoming international watch exhibition Baselworld-2014, the Swiss watch brand Maurice Lacroix will officially unveil the new model Pontos S Supercharged.
The novelty lies in the round case made of stainless steel or stainless steel with black PVD- coated. Waterproof to 200 meters, the case has a diameter of 48 mm. The black unidirectional rotating sandblasted bezel is marked with diving marking in red or yellow. At the 3 o’clock position is set the screw- in fluted crown. Chronograph buttons are placed at the positions of 2 and 4 o’clock. On the front side of the case is protected by a convex double anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The case back screw cap is decorated with engraving.

The matte black dial with sandblasted is equipped applied hour markers. Time indication is carried out by white luminescent hands. In the design of the dial are used trimming in yellow or red. The small second’s hand is put on the lateral dial at the 9 o’clock position. The date aperture is placed at the 3 o’clock position. Chronograph functions are displayed on the 30 - minute indicator at the 12 o’clock position, 12 - hour indicator at the 6 o’clock position and by a central second’s hand.
The novelty is based on manufacturing automatic caliber Maurice Lacroix ML140 (base caliber ETA Valgranges). The caliber on the 25 jewels has a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and a 46- hour power reserve. The mechanism is decorated with ornaments Côtes de Genève and circular graining.
The watch comes on a calfskin strap with rubberized parts and a buckle of stainless steel or stainless steel with black PVD-coated.
