Patek Philippe Watch Art Milan 2026: 38 New Pieces Revealed

Patek Philippe's Watch Art Grand Exhibition has ended its Milan run, which took place from 2 to 18 October 2026. Held at CityOval, the former Palazzo delle Scintille in the CityLife district, the free exhibition covered 2,900 square metres and showed around 500 wristwatches, pocket watches and table clocks in 15 themed areas. Visitors had to book in advance.
A travelling exhibition since 2012
The Watch Art Grand Exhibition is Patek Philippe's largest public event. It began in Dubai in 2012 and has since visited Munich, London, New York, Singapore and Tokyo, where the 2023 edition attracted 74,000 visitors. Milan is the first Italian city to host it. Its centrepiece was a nine-metre recreation of Geneva's Jet d'Eau, built from 2,028 glass "droplets".
38 new pieces
As at earlier editions, the company used the exhibition to present new watches. In total, 38 pieces were introduced: seven Milan limited editions, six Gondolo Ladies First watches and 25 Rare Handcrafts, unique or small-series pieces decorated with enamel, engraving, marquetry and miniature painting. Many of the Rare Handcrafts were inspired by Italian places, from Rome and Florence to Burano and Murano.
Each Milan limited edition has a sapphire caseback inscribed "Patek Philippe Milano 2026". The most technical is the Ref. 5978P-010 Chronograph Perpetual Calendar, a 42 mm platinum watch limited to 120 pieces. Its new manually wound calibre CH 29-535 PS QI combines a chronograph with an instantaneous perpetual calendar: all four date indications change at the same moment at midnight. The watch marks 85 years since Patek Philippe first combined a chronograph and a perpetual calendar in a wristwatch.

Patek Philippe president Thierry Stern described the approach behind each new edition: "I think to keep it fresh, you're always trying to innovate a little bit."
