At a recent Sotheby's auction in Hong Kong were sold the most expensive Patek Philippe timepiece called Magpie's Treasure Nest Clock. The model is a table clock, made of gold and encrusted with diamonds, rubies and sapphires. The weight of the clock is 15 kilograms. This amazingly beautiful work of art went under the hammer for $ 2.31 million.
A masterpiece of watchmaking Magpie's Treasure Nest Clock was purchased after 35 bets placed by five active buyers, beating the overall record sales of Patek Philippe watches at auction.
