Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Automatic Watch at BaselWorld 2012
The legendary Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe, which always pleases its fans with amazing wristwatches, presents a fascinating new model - Perpetual Calendar Automatic (Ref 5940).
The novelty, executed in classical style, is presented at the annual exhibition BaselWorld 2012.
The model has a barrel-shaped case in dimensions of 37 x 44,6 mm, made of 18 carat yellow gold. With its design the case resembles the watch, made in retro style.
The cream dial features hour markers overhead in the form of Arabic numerals and the two central hands, made of 18 carat gold. At the 3 o’clock position is a round dial with a pointer to the month and leap year; at the 6 o’clock position - the date of the window with the pointer phases of the moon, and at the 9 o’clock position - a window with the pointer of days of the week and time in the 24-hour format. The brand logo adorns the dial set at the 12 o’clock position.
The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal. The case back of the watch is also covered with a sapphire crystal, which allows enjoying the work of the manufacturing ultra-thin automatic movement 240 Q with 48-hour power reserve, features hours, minutes, perpetual calendar (day, date, month, and leap year), Moon phase indicator and a 24-hour indication.
The model is available on a chocolate brown matte alligator strap with a buckle in 18 carat gold.
