Toric Capitole Ararat Timepiece by Parmigiani Fleurier

In one of the most beautiful streets of the old Moscow - Malaya Nikitskaya - opened a Raff House, bringing together lovers of fine watchmaking and jewelry. Here are 15 watch brands, Jeweler House Schreiner products and the gourmet cuisine restaurant Helene Darroze.
The watch companies Bernhard Lederer, Jean Dunand, Greubel Forsey, Christophe Claret, Maitres de Temps, Parmigiani Fleurier, Ulysse Nardin, Roger Dubuis, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Richard Mille and IWC have presented in Raff House their rarest models, issued in a limited edition, and designed primarily for watch connoisseurs and collectors.
First commissioned by the project owner Rafael Papian, the watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier has developed the Toric Capitole Ararat in a single copy.
Ararat is the highest volcanic massif of the Armenian Highland, the symbol of the Armenian nation. The image of Ararat adorns the exclusive model’s model, made of pink gold. Silhouette of the mountains in the distance and symbolically road leading to it manually executed in the technique of engraving on gold and covered with transparent enamel. As a result, Ararat appears as if in the pre-dawn haze.

The novelty was established on the base of the Toric Minute Repeater Capitole watch, existed in the Parmigiani Fleurier collection for three years. The original model was developed on the base of the pocket watches Perrin Freres of the XIX century beginning from the Sandoz Family Foundation collection (FEMS). Both models are assembled on the base of the manufacturing caliber PF 321 with manual winding, 42-hour power reserve, minute repeater with cathedral gongs and sector time pointer.
The sectoral window from a Tahitian pearl is placed in the upper part of the dial. It is marked with gold hour-markers. Time is indicated in the aperture of 60 minutes with a 5-minute markings and labels that indicate quarters of an hour. Indexes appear on the dial in the form of Arabic numerals, which are slowly shifting from the first to the sixtieth minute, giving way to the next. This module is mounted on a rotating system of three gears with four arms, each of which has at the end on the figure. The disc assembly directly related to the hour wheel, is driven by a system of cams that every time "forced" to appear the next hour, when the previous one ends its journey.
The dial is inserted into a round case with a diameter of 45 mm and a thickness of 12.9 mm. The case is fitted by a wide bezel with double ribs. On the back of the case is set a sapphire crystal, through which is possible to monitor the mechanism of the snake-shaped cathedral gongs that encircles the skeletonized caliber. The back cover is individually numbered and engraved with inscription “Modele Unique Raff House Special”.
