La Monégasque Flying Tourbillon by ROGER DUBUIS at SIHH 2012
At the annual watch exhibition of the Geneva-based manufacture ROGER DUBUIS has introduced a new model with a "flying" tourbillon La Monégasque Flying Tourbillon.
The line of La Monégasque was created under the leadership of Georges Kern - the new head of the company Roger Dubuis. The presentation of the collections was held at the annual Salon Haute Horlogerie SIHH 2011.
This year the company’s watchmakers have created a model, equipped with the most excellent watch complication - a tourbillon. The precision mechanics in the La Monégasque Flying Tourbillon wristwatch is organically combined with elegance.
The original extended shape of the case became the wonderful "frame" for the dial with a unique design: the central part of the disk with a satin finish in the form of rays, "bordered" by the rhodium-plated intermediate sector, on which by thermo application technique are marked with white labels in black outlines and matched in the style with the ROGER DUBUIS logo. On the external anthracite sector there are Arabic numerals in pink gold, also with black outlines. Along the circumference of the external sector is posted a graded minute scale on which the five-minute intervals are indicated by Arabic numerals.
On the dial with the hour and minute indexes are also available the date aperture, hand power reserve indicator and the "flying" tourbillon. The power reserve indicator has a well-defined relief, underlined by the silvered concentric pattern, black markings, made in the thermo application technique and edging of pink gold. The dual date aperture and power reserve indicator form a perfect symmetry with the module of the "flying" tourbillon.
The watch is assembled on the basis of the manufacturing mechanism RD540 with manual winding, designed and decorated by hand. The reliable caliber consists of 293 parts, based on the 28 jewels, running at 21 600 pc / h, the power reserve is 60 hours.
The model with the "flying" tourbillion is released in a limited edition: to buy the La Monégasque Flying Tourbillon watch is possible only for 188 fans of watch art in the world.
