Pulsion Watch by Roger Dubuis at SIHH 2012
At the annual Salon Haute Horlogerie SIHH 2012 the Swiss company Roger Dubuis has unveiled a new line of skeletonized watches Pulsion, which includes two models - Flying Tourbillon Skeleton and Chronograph.
Pulsion Flying Tourbillon Skeleton
Design of the skeletonized Flying Tourbillon Skeleton model with a "flying" tourbillon can be characterized by "transparency" and "lightness”.
The skeletonized dial with well-defined lines and shaded surface is combines in harmony with the case finish, based on the alternation of polished and matte surfaces. The massive round case in 44mm is made of lightweight and durable titanium.
The watch is collected on the basis of the mechanism RD505SQ with manual winding, designed and assembled in the firmed workshops. Rugged and reliable caliber consists of 165 parts and has two distinct for Geneva Watchmaking house products details - modern skeletonized finishing and a differential "flying tourbillon." The mechanism of anthracite rhodium-plated is compiled on the basis of 19 jewels, works with the frequency of 21 600 pc / h (3 Hz) and has a 60-hour power reserve. The caliber is assembled and decorated by hand; the setting accuracy is performed in six positions.
The main distinguishing feature of the Pulsion watch is a sapphire crystal, which also executes the function of the bezel, as beyond the boundary of the dial and is screwed directly to the case. On the inside of the glass by Decal technique are printed indexes and digital minute graded scale, treated by fluorescent compound.
Flying Tourbillon Skeleton watch comes on a black rubber strap with alternating brushed and polished finish, which is in harmony with the titanium case, passed the similar treatment.
The model with dynamic and sporty design and technical sophistication is designed for people with active lifestyles. It is suitable for water sports: the case water-resistant can descend to a depth of 100 meters.
Pulsion Chronograph
In creating a partial skeletonized dial of the Pulsion chronograph the watch masters paid much attention to transparent surfaces, perfectly emphasizing the technical excellence of the watches and the gorgeous finish of the exclusive movement.
Ownership of this model to the Pulsion line can be determined from the first sight by the characteristic details - a sapphire crystal, screwed directly to the case. Chronograph also features an unsurpassed technical perfection. The dial is composed of several layers: the central skeletonized part is "ringed" by the solid disk, executed in black and decorated with a pattern Côtes de Genève. The digital indices and minute graded scale, treated with phosphor compound, are applied by the Decal technique on the inside of the glass, only the figures "6" and "12" and screwed to the dial.

The caliber RD680 with self-winding combines superior aesthetic and technical characteristics and is manufactured with the usage of innovative technology. It consists of 261 parts, based on 42 jewels, the frequency of balance oscillation is 28 800 pc / h, power reserve - 52 hours. Mechanism is assembled and decorated by hand, setting accuracy is produced in five positions. Caliber, equipped with a chronograph function, is controlled by two buttons: one is to turn the chronograph and the other - to clear. The chronograph pointers are in position of "3" and "9" o’clock.
Pulsion Chronograph watch is accompanied by the black rubber strap, in the decoration of which is also used alternating polished and matte surfaces.
Pulsion - the result of creative and technical pursuit of the Geneva manufactory watchmakers, which for their innovations has rethought the canons of Haute Horlogerie by opening new horizons for precise mechanics. In a relatively short period of its existence, the company has developed its rates in horology, based on the original design, exceptional reliability and superior mechanical accuracy.
The Pulsion watch is certified by the assignment to new standards of the Geneva Poicon.
