New vintage watches PW1 and WW1 from Bell & Ross
At the end of September 2011 the watchmaker Bell & Ross expanded its line of «military» watches with two new models PW1 and WW1. The PW1 is a pocket watch, and the WW1 - a wristwatch. The vintage design echoes with the appearance of the company’s «military» watches, issued in the 1920s.
The watches PW1 and WW1 are a tribute to the first line of the pilot's watches. The case of the pocket watch PW1 in diameter of 49 mm is made of polished steel. The convex galvanized black dial reflects the sun's glare. To ensure the readability of the dial in any light the markers, numerals and hands are provided with luminous coating. The domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating provides a protective shield for the dial. The model is designed on the base of a Swiss ETA 6497 with manual winding.
The wristwatch WW1 also has a polished steel case with the diameter of 45 mm. The watch corns deserve the special attention: they are welded to the case, and in the middle between them is the spring bar, by the help of which you can easily change the strap.
The model dial is identical with the pocket watch dial. WW1 is based on the Swiss ETA 2897, providing also the power reserve function. The watches are available on the black alligator strap.
You can buy the both models for $ 4,500 USD.
