New Leaf Watch by Obaku: in harmony with nature

Danish manufacturer of watches Obaku has presented in the current 2012 year a new Leaf watch with perfect soft forms. Design of the novelties originated from forms created by nature itself. As the title of the model implies, the watch follows the contours of a simple leaf. The creator of the novelty Christian Mikkelsen is not the first designer who works with the brand and draws his inspiration from nature. All around which the company Obaku creates and produces - this is nature.
Philosophy Obaku, founded in 2007, is based on a combination of design traditions of Denmark and teaching of Zen Buddhism. As the manager of Obaku Henriette Arvin notes: "Every time during the autumn leaf fall, we watch the rain of colored leaves, or enjoy in spring the appearance of green shoots, we just forget about all the time and live in one moment. All these feelings are reflected in the design of new products by Christian Mikkelsen."

The form of the case follows the curves of the leaf and a line of the wrist. The outer part of the case is made of stainless steel and the inner part of the case, painted in rich black color, as it continues uninterrupted line that starts from the center and across the dial, invisible turns into the strap. Thus, the illusion of a two-sided leaf forms. Original design is built in a way that completely hides the automatic winding crown and creates an illusion of a solid bracelet, not a watch.
