BaselWorld 2012: Sertina Presents DS Master Black Watch

The watch company Certina has presented at the annual international exhibition a novelty - a watch DS Master Black – a new absolutely black modification of the famous model DS Master.

The DS Master watch is a beautiful chronometer-chronograph, which will surely impress. The enlarged steel case with black PVD coating is a massive, technical and sport adornment of the wrist. The case has a fixed bezel, the periphery of which is beveled at an angle of 450. A sapphire crystal, covering the dial, is scratch resistant and equipped with anti-glare coating.

The watch dial is black, on which are placed a 12-hour and 1/10 seconds chronograph pointers, a small stopwatch, with a historical logo. The central hands of the model are supplemented by minute and second’s chronograph hands. In an innovative multi-level dial, there are seven hands. The central hand is located on the two inner scales with white markings. The horizontal date aperture with a white border is at the 4 o’clock position.
Sport style and bright "personality" of this model are undeniable. The original DS Master Black watch is equipped with a proprietary brand’s system – “DS” (Double Security), which provides water-resistance of the model up to the 100 meters.
Crown is large, polished, gear, made with engraved monogram “DS”. Two chronograph pushers are protected by a massive screwed guard with a black PVD coating.
Maximum comfort and optimum streamlining of the watch wearing is provided by a case back of a 45-millimeter case, which is slightly concave, and follow the contour of the wrist.
Bracelet is made of stainless steel with black PVD coating and equipped by a folding clasp with extension function, which is useful for diving. Its undoubted feature and advantage is full integration into the watch case.
The watch is also available in version of "bicolor", which combines elements of steel with black PVD coating, both in the design of the case and the bracelet.

The DS Master Black watch operates on the basis of the quartz mechanism ETA 251,233, equipped with a Swiss temperature compensated chronograph function. The watch case is made of 316L stainless steel with black PVD coating. The watch water resistant is 100 meters.
The dial is covered with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the crown - is protected.
The watch bracelet is made to match the case of stainless steel with black PVD coating and has a folding clasp with safety function and the function of elongation. A special feature is a proprietary system of DS.
