Accutron Kirkwood 63a103 by Bulova at the BaselWorld 2012
At the annual international exhibition BaselWorld 2012 the Swiss-American company Bulova has introduced a new model of the legendary collection of Accutron –the Kirkwood 63A103 watch.
Novelty is presented in stainless steel. In the finishing of the case and bezel are used alternating polished and matte surfaces, creating a kind play of light and shade.
The dial of the watch is also built on the principle of contrast: it displayed the divergent pattern of sunlight, which originates from a decentralized window showing a part of an automatic caliber Sellita SW200. The watch mechanism, on which is placed the symbol of the brand - a tuning fork, became the part of the dial.
The caliber Sellita SW200 is based on the 26 jewels, and provides an indication of the hours, minutes and seconds. To determine the current time are made of polished steel hour indexes, repeating the round contour of the case. The dial is protected by a durable sapphire crystal.
The Accutron Kirkwood 63a103 watch is completed with a metal bracelet with alternating polished and matte links.
Waterproof of the model can descend to a depth of 100 meters.
