Twenty-8-Eight Full Moon by DeWitt
The new model Twenty-8-Eight Full Moon is a continuation of the collection of DeWitt emblematic works, reflecting poetic aesthetic of an elegant design and codes of Haute Horlogerie.
Special architecture of the dial and bold combination of unusual materials create a harmonious alliance of heaven and earth.
The titanium 43mm case of the novelty, decorated with signature imperial columns, frames the manufacturing automatic caliber DW.0160 with a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and 42 - hour power reserve. Like an atlas with a symbolic globe, the left side of the dial is framed by the partly skeletonized embossed caliber with golden gears, the rotation trajectory of which is oriented in the immensity of the universe on the right side of the dial, made of material Goldfluss. This glass is synthetic. It is manufactured according to an ancient recipe: it is first subjected to a particular firing using copper. Glass was founded in the XVII century in Venice and was the forerunner of the famous Murano glass.
A marking on the dial is made of Roman and Arabic numerals, as if floating in weightlessness of the sky peppered with stars.
In the lower part of the dial, there is an icon lunar phase’s pointer, presented as a hemisphere of white mother of pearl. The Twenty- 8 –Eight watch comes on a black alligator strap with a folding buckle in titanium, adorned with monogram “W”.
