Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde with a tourbillion
In September of this year, the watch company Jaquet Droz has released new watch models Grande Seconde. These watches became the prototype of today's novelty - Grande Seconde with a tourbillon. The novelty also has the famous motif of figure 8 on the dial, which uses the company since 2008.
Only this time, the figure eight is not a pair of small dials. Its upper part is a round window, through which the tourbillon with the seconds hand is visible. One of the unique details is the tourbillon carriage made of sapphire glass. And at the bottom half of the magic number it is measured hours and minutes.
Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Tourbillon is created in two versions. The model with black dial (ref. 34 240), which is decorated with vertical Cotes de Geneve pattern, is in white gold case. And the model Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Tourbillon, made of red gold (ref. 33 200), has a white enamel dial. The case diameter is 43 mm.
Through the transparent case back an automatic movement Jaquet Droz 25JD with a seven-day power reserve on the 31 jewels can be considered. The movement is beautifully finished and decorated with a pattern Cotes de Geneve, echoing the dial of ref. 34 240. An automatic winding rotor is decorated with two seven-pointed stars. The watches are supplied on a black alligator strap.
The new watch Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Tourbillon has retained all the classic features of the model, only instead of the date indicator it features with a graceful tourbillon carriage from a transparent sapphire crystal. Keeping the maximum easy readability of the dial, the watches combine classic and innovative features. They almost universally combined with any clothing from a business suit to everyday wearing. On the tourbillion place the movement and case are fully transparent. If only the self-winding rotor flashes behind them.
