BaselWorld 2013: Tambour Twin Chrono by Louis Vuitton

At the international exhibition of watches and jewelry BaselWorld 2013, the known company Louis Vuitton has introduced a new limited edition watch Tambour Twin Chrono, intended primarily for the measurement of time intervals during a match race.
The match - a flight or match race constitute a separate kind of sailing, in which the start time out only two yachts. The race - as a duel between yachts, check the racing where there are only winners and losers.

The model Tambour Twin Chrono has a round polished case in diameter of 45.50 mm and a thickness of 14.35 mm in 18-carat white gold. Located at the 2 o’clock position, the crown is designed to wind three barrels of the chronograph: the crown at the 4 o’clock position is provided for the barrel, which provides time indication energy and central hands installation. The pushers are placed at the 7 and 8 o’clock position.

The guilloche dial, hand-enameled in blue, made by “grand feu enamel”, is equipped with white Arabic numerals on its periphery, three central hands, white, and large chronograph counters at the 12, 4 and 8 o’clock position. The counters are equipped with two hands, one of which (minute) is made in white, and the other (second) - in red. A sapphire crystal, set also on the case back, protects the dial.

The original novelty Tambour Twin Chrono operates on the manufacturing caliber with manual winding, developed at La Fabrique Du Temps Louis Vuitton. The movement consists of 437 parts, has the capability to display the hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph. To control the chronograph with column wheel is carried out by means of a key, first press of which runs the counters at the 4 and 8 o’clock positions, the second press - stops the counter, located at the 8 o’clock position, and activates the counter at the 12 o’clock position. A third press stops the counters, located at the 12 and 4 o’clock positions, and the fourth press - resets all counters.

The watch comes on a black alligator strap with a buckle in 18-carat white gold.
