Nelson Piquet Timepiece by Louis Moinet, dedicated to a racecar driver Nelson Piquet

Swiss watchmaker Louis Moinet has released a new watch dedicated to the Brazilian racecar driver Nelson Piquet, three-time world champion in Formula-1.

The model is presented in a round steel case with carbon fiber bezel. Chronograph buttons, decorated with squares that are reminiscent of a flag at the finish of races, are also made of carbon fiber.

Applied white Arabic numerals and hands with luminescent coating equip the blue dial, the lower part of which is decorated with Geneva waves. The second’s hand is made in blue. Chronograph pointers are placed at 3 and 9 o’clock positions. The driver’s signature decorates the dial at 5 o’clock position. The back cover of the model Nelson Piquet is engraved with the winner’s wreath.

The harmonious combination of white and blue color symbolizes Brabham racing cars - the team for which Nelson Piquet performed from 1978 to 1985.
