New Octopus Watch by RJ-Romain Jerome: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

What watch was not included in the ranks of "researchers" of the Titanic-DNA collection, represented by RJ-Romain Jerome? The line was missing a diver’s model that would ensure safe navigation of the owner in the depths of the underwater world. Those are a new watch Octopus, released this fall by brand RJ-Romain Jerome.

The watch is named after the sea giant - the octopus who became a character of the book by Jules Verne's "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea." As the general director Manuel Emch noted, the model Octopus - is first and foremost sports diver's watch, both in terms of its aesthetic expression and its technical execution. The novelty is fitted with two crowns at the 9 o’clock position for the time setting and at the 3 o’clock position for the control of spent time. Exclusive internal unidirectional rotating sapphire bezel is divided into 5-minute segments; labels are covered with fluorescent material Superluminova “blue emission”. The hands also fluoresce in the dark.

Every detail, used in the model, is in common with the number 8, referring to the number of feet of a sea animal. The 46-millimeter case is screwed with 8 octagonal head screws, and on the back of the watch is engraved with the image of the octopus - the symbol of the underwater world conquest. Two crowns with locking system are decorated eight rivets. With maximum protection, they guarantee 270-meter (888 feet) water resistance of the watch, issued in a limited quantity in 888 items.

Faithfulness to the collection of Titanic-DNA, the notched bezel is also made of rusted steel of "Titanic." The X-shaped cross on the dial, characteristic of all the lineup of the collection, is made by matt steel cross struts and paws. For fans of the underwater sports, this colorless figure is the cross of St. Andrew flag, which indicates the presence of diving divers. Another novelty’s original piece, full of allusions, is a black rubber strap, equipped with suction cups, which creates the illusion of a real octopus grip of the wrist.
