Watch-skeletons by Armand Nicolet at BaselWorld 2012
The company Armand Nicolet at the international exhibition BaselWorld 2012 has introduced a skeletonized watch. These are not new models; the collection was created back in 2009. Perhaps the fans have been waiting for Armand Nicolet novelties.
LS 8 collection fully reflects the creative and technical artists searching of the Swiss manufactory.
Technical perfection of the watch is shown by a partially skeletonized dial, in creating of which a lot of attention was paid to transparent surfaces, emphasizing the excellent finish of the exclusive mechanism.
caliber AN0711S
The watches are equipped with a caliber AN0711S, established on the basis of the mechanism in 1957 (127 parts, diameter - 31.5 mm, thickness - 3.95 mm, power reserve - 36 hours). The ancient mechanism, based on 18 jewels and worked with the historical frequency of oscillation of balance 18 000 pc / h, is adapted to modern specifications, equipped with anti-shock system and the "swan neck" regulator Incabloc. Setting up of the accuracy progress is made on the five positions. The main plate and bridges of the caliber are decorated with a Côtes de Genève pattern and Perlage.
Armand Nicolet watchmakers have always paid great attention to decoration of the mechanism: finishing adds an aesthetic appeal of the caliber and protects nipples of the stone bearings from dust.
The mechanism is equipped with an indication of the hours, minutes (by means of the central hands) and second (the hand is displayed on the small dial at the6 o’clock position). All indicators are located on the skeletonized dial, the clearly defined contours of which emphasize the rigor and elegance of design.

By using unique vintage calibers, the watches are produced in a limited edition (only 600 instances).
