Locman watch company presents Montecristo Professional – a diver watch with a Mediterranean heart

Constantly following its sports vocation, the men's Montecristo Professional wrist watch from the Italian Locman watch brand keeps gaining more and more avant-garde technical features, that guarantee the bigger level of sustainability and water resistance. This model is a result of profound research and development, carried out by the technicians and the engineers of S.I.O., Scuola Italiana di Orologeria (The Italian School of Watchmaking), founded in 2006, and it was elaborated specifically for deep water immersions and being used in extreme sports. This men's wrist watch was tested by a team of professional divers in real life, in the waters of the Tuscany Archipelago, where the brand's headquarters is situated, not far from the picturesque island of Montecristo, in honour of which this unique timepiece is named. The Montecristo Professional model has a wide stainless steel and titanium case with the guaranteed water resistance of 120 metres (12 ATM), provided by a series of innovative protection systems of the screw down crown, the chronograph pushers, and the case back, fixed with four screws.

The men's Locman Montecristo Professional wrist watch is equipped either with a complex mechanical movement with automatic self-rewind or a quartz chronograph movement. The tests of the model's assembly, adjustments and precision are performed at Locman company's laboratory by the technicians and master watchmakers of S.I.O. Special attention at this timepiece's designing was paid to the production of the oscillating weight, a determining element in wrist watches with self-rewind: this model's oscillating weight, executed of a lightweight fusion by a patented technology and covered with black PVD-coating, provides constant rewind during everyday watch wearing, including during small hand gestures, performed daily.
You can watch the movement's operation through a transparent aperture, carved in the model's case back and covered with a sapphire crystal. The rotating steel unidirectional bezel, designed for dive time indication, is notched to ensure a better grip and easier adjustments while used under water. The dial with great readability is protected with a flat sapphire crystal, secured on a case with the help of a nylon gasket and supplied with a magnifying lens, situated just above the date indicator's aperture. The three-bar lugs fix the watch on a natural breathable silicone strap with wrist vents. The strap is supplied with a folding clasp and a length regulation device, enabling the watch owner to perform this operation without involving a watchmaker or a company's service engineer.
You can buy the men's Locman Montecristo Professional wrist watch in a version with a mechanical movement with automatic self-rewind, as well as the variant with a quartz chronograph movement. Moreover, there is a model variation, executed fully in black and covered with a thick composite ceramic film of black colour.
