Tourbillon Quantième Perpétuel Watch by Antoine Martin at BaselWorld 2012
The Swiss company Antoine Martin at the international exhibition BaselWorld 2012 has presented a Tourbillon Quantième Perpétuel watch with two classic complications - perpetual calendar and tourbillon.
Calendar indicators and time pointers are harmoniously integrated into the dial thanks to their asymmetrical arrangement: the hour hand is displayed on a small dial (at the 10 o’clock position), minutes are shown by the central hand, the hand-type date display is at the 3 o’clock position, vertical windows, showing the date and month – at the 12 o’clock position, among them is an indicator of a leap year. At the 6 o’clock position "6" is the most elegant complication - a flying tourbillon.
The dial has a balanced structure, the information is shown in the most convenient form, and the indicators do not overlap each other and hinder reading.
The model is collected on the basis of the mechanism with manual winding, 144-hour power reserve and relatively low frequency vibrations of the balance - 18 800 pc / h (2.5 Hz). Escape wheel, pallet impulse pin and lever are made of silicon (they are lighter metal analogues, resistant to corrosion, magnetic fields and gravity and resistant to shocks, etc.), but the balance spring is made of nickel silver.
The novelty is available in two versions:
Tourbillon Quantième Perpétuel Ref. TQP01.710.1 - case is made of 18K rose gold, dark brown strap - Louisiana alligator leather
Tourbillon Quantième Perpétuel Ref. TQP01.800.1 - case - from 18 K white gold, black strap - Louisiana alligator leather
