The Watch Company Nomos has received Good Design Award

German watch brand Nomos has been awarded the Good Design Award 2011. This is the third award for design excellence in the Nomos bank. The first was the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2010 and the iF Product Design Award in 2011.

The chief designer of the watch company Simon Hasslen comments on the event as follows:

"The received Good Design Award is an international recognition for the watch brand. I am extremely pleased to have direct relevance to this result. There is nothing better than recognition of your creations - this justifies any amount of spent time and effort on the creation of the watches."

To tell the truth it is worthy to say a few words about a prize Good Design Award. The prize was established in 1950 in Chicago. Today, Good Design Award is given by the Chicago Museum of Architecture and Design together with the European Centre for Architecture, Design and Art in Dublin.

The watch company Nomos is certainly awarded for the design of watch line Zurich. By creating the image and style of this line had a hand Hans Wettstein - the legend of the World Swiss design. The watch Zurich became the last project of his life. All the watches in a line of Zurich have the sleek design, transforming these models into a timeless classic. Hour markers extend to the center from the dial edge. Three hands are sometimes supplemented by a date aperture.
