New Hirondelle Limited Edition Watch by Oris
The watch brand Oris has introduced a new limited edition model Hirondelle, dedicated to the historic ship Hirondelle. The new line is launched in the amount of 151 items.
Hirondelle is the first largest transport, fully built in Switzerland. It was launched in 1855, on the water of Lake Geneva, Ouchy, and in June 1862 crashed when faced with an underwater rock. Fortunately, all 350 passengers were rescued, but the ship Hirondelle went under the water. Limited edition of 151 models is a tribute to past years from the date of the shipwreck.
Details that are typical for the ship design are used in the novelty. For example, a power reserve indicator is made as if a throttle mechanism for the ship, decorated with the throttle marking FULL - HALF - DEAD.
The black dial, decorated with a wavy pattern, is marked up with applied hour indices in Super-LumiNova. The watch is enclosed in a massive 49-millimeter case with a dark gray PVD-coated. The bezel is fitted with a tungsten insert and a patented system of rotation. The automatic helium valve is located at the 9 o'clock position. An engraving with the image of the ship Hirondelle flaunts on the back cover. Water resistance is 1000 meters.

The novelty operates on the base of the manufacturing automatic movement Caliber 667, based on the ETA 2897. The diameter provides a display of hours, minutes, seconds, and the date, which aperture is placed at the 3 o'clock position.
The watch comes on a rubber strap with an adjustable sliding clasp.
