Jubilee Watch Navitimer Cosmonaute by Breitling

The famous Swiss brand Breitling has presented a commemorative model Navitimer Cosmonaute, issued in honor of the 50-year-old Scott Carpenter's flight. That's the Navitimer Cosmonaute watch on his wrist the American astronaut Scott Carpenter in May 24, 1964 on the board of the spacecraft "Aurora 7" has made an orbital flight around the Earth. The watch, had been in space, has been specially produced for this flight.
The massive round case, made of stainless steel, has a diameter of 43 mm. Rotating bezel with knurled surface allows you to use a slide rule. The small second’s hand is put into the lateral dial at the 9 o'clock position. Date is placed in the aperture between the marks 4 and 5. The timing functions are displayed on a 30-minute pointer at 3 o'clock position, 12-hour pointer at 6 o'clock position, and with the central red second’s hand.
The novelty Navitimer Cosmonaute is designed on the basis of the manufacturing movement with manual winding and chronograph function.
The model Navitimer Cosmonaute comes on a black leather strap with white stitching. The buckle on the strap is made of stainless steel. The novelty is released in a limited edition of 1962 instances.
