The new Sparkling Pictures technique from Angular Momentum
Angular Momentum company has gained worldwide renown thanks to its impressive watches with dials, covered under genuine works of pictorial and jewelery arts. Most of them are executed in single piece, which can't be ignored by high watchmaking art collectors and connoisseurs. The Swiss brand uses such unique ornamentation techniques as, for example, Verre Eglomise, the technology of image application on a layer of gold or silver foil, covering the crystal's inner side.
Nowadays more and more people strive for having a unique men's or women's wrist watch and the most rare and exclusive models are preferred. In a world that seems to get smaller day by day, it's a special pleasure to realize that only one person in the whole world wears a specific timepiece.
The passion for singularity grows bigger from year to year and it has nowadays reached an unprecedented level. Already in 2004 Angular Momentum company had an opportunity to make its Swiss watches even more unique and focus its activity on producing exclusive time measuring instruments, handcrafted by the best master watchmakers, by special orders from its worldwide clientele.

In course of all these years Martin Pauli, the single-manufacturer company's craftsman, has assimilated a wide variety of traditional techniques in order to satisfy its customers' expectations. Among those technologies are: enameling, engraving, repoussage, “uchi-dachi”, which is a purely Japanese technique, eliminating the borderline between the so-called metal “sinking” and metal “raising” and a huge amount of Japanese lacquering techniques, never used in watchmaking before.
Having studied lots of ancient publications on different arts and crafts, Martin Pauli has encountered many technologies, buried in oblivion, such as “Email Lumineuse”, a luminescent enamel, produced of oyster shells, fluorspar, cryolite and Barium Borate. The glowing Urushi lacquer is one of the most interesting among the newly elaborated Angular Momentum artisan technologies.
One of the most simple, yet spectacular techniques is the so-called “ Sparkling Painting”, laying paintings on the watch dials with sparkling Platinum Ore, black and clear diamond crystals of different shapes and cuts, retracting light in different angles.
