Elegant and sporty Capeland by Baume & Mercier
The watch brand Baume & Mercier has pleased fans of luxury chronographs by the new model Capeland, which with its smooth case curves resembles the contours of the seaside. The watch case is similar to the gray coastal rocks, whose rounded shape has weather-beaten by sea winds and washed in the sea salt water. The design of the novelty displays symmetrical geometric forms of the one-push chronograph, created in 1948.
Light, unobtrusive elegant style is combined with the novelty sports dynamics. The case of the novelty from the stainless steel has a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 15.1 mm. The surface of the case is polished and satinized. The watch water-resistant is up to 50 meters.
The front side of the case is protected by a durable sapphire crystal. The sapphire crystal also serves as a case back and allows the chronograph to observe the work of the rotor, which flaunts a brand symbol Phi. The rotor is decorated in the style of Cotes de Geneve and the snailed pattern.
The rotor is a part of the architecture of the mechanical self-winding mechanism, complicated with the function of the fly-back. Released by Lajoux-Perret, the mechanism is provided with blued screws, circular-grained plates and bridges.
The brown dial is marked with white Arabic numerals. The central hour and minute hands are covered with white fluorescent substance. At the periphery the dial sequentially from the center is graded by the red telemetry and white tachometer scales. The second indicator is located at position 9 o'clock, date aperture - between the hours of 4 and 5, fly-back function is displayed on the central seconds hand, a 30-minute and 12 hour indicators in positions 3 and 6 hours respectively.
The brown leather strap with white stitching and a buckle made of stainless steel completes the image of the beach.
