Backes & Strauss at WPHH 2014

The oldest jewelry house Backes & Strauss is celebrating two anniversaries: the 225th anniversary of its founding and the 200th anniversary of the staying in London, whose architecture has always inspired artists to create a unique design and style of luxury watches.

Masters of the jewelry house Backes & Strauss decided to embody in the design of the new model Royal Jester its own vision. Baguette cut diamonds are lined in circles on the dial, and at its center is set a large sparkling shimmering diamond weighing 1.01 carats – the jester himself. The outer side of the case is also decorated with 80 diamonds. Another 40 diamonds are viewed through the hour and minute marks, made in a restrained crimson color and attached to the crystal disks. Thus, the impression is of floating in the air, unrelated stones.
The Royal Jester watch operates on the base of mechanical caliber, providing a 36 - hour power reserve.
