One-hand watch UNO 24 NEO: invented new icon design

The concept of the UNO 24 watch, developed by Klaus Botta, is truly unique. No other watch is able to display fully within a day so intuitive, and so recognizable at a glance how this successful model UNO 24 is.

Can we improve on this principle, and so the perfect time display? To find out, the designers of Botta-Design have decided to completely rethink the concept of: a hand, a dial, the dial`s marking and color.

In the complex process of creative, the design work team developed a set of concepts, some of which was soon abandoned, and only some have been modified since had the potential for an interesting development. In the end, only two convincing concepts were chosen. They got the name UNO 24 NEO.

With the new dial design, the UNO 24 NEO watch looks minimalistic, extremely accurate and very presentable. The hand, extended by 15%, makes optimum use of the size of the dial and thus more accurately read the time.

This 24 -hour hand and dashes- divisions of quadrants (divisions by numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9) are highlighted in a light color model by a bright orange, so the slope of the hand is quickly determined.

In a dark version of the same data were taken into account the latest scientific studies of human perception that in low light the human eye is particularly sensitive to the green.

So intense green dashes-divisions of the quadrants allow reading in low light conditions. The hand is made of finely buffed stainless steel. This surface of the hand reflects well the surrounding light.

Overall, both models UNO 24 NEO allow more accurate and faster to read all the time. For those who like the classic 24 -hour single-hand pioneer model, there is good news: they are still in the lineup.
