Botta-Design DUO green Timepiece - a watch for two time zones with optimal readability

When making a watch dial for two time zones Botta-Design DUO in 2011 was chosen the best possible contrast of colors: yellow on black. This is the intentional use of high contrast for fast reading time, even at a casual glance.

However, there are situations in which even this high contrast is not enough. According to the latest researches, the human eye is particularly sensitive in low light to green.
For improved readability in the dark, the company Botta-Design has used this color on the dial of the new version for two time zones DUO.

Due to contrast against the dark dial, touches-quadrant divisions (division by numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9) and the tip of a thin 24-hour hand stand out very clearly. The 12-hour hand is made of fine stainless steel for the stripped of its clear differentiation. This surface of the hand reflects well the remains of the light.
Using these two techniques is even better when read in low light conditions. In addition, this creates the impression of colors technical accuracy.
By the characteristics, a new green-and-black version is identical to the yellow-black, which is still available for sale.
