Red Dot design award is honored to designers and companies for outstanding quality and exceptional achievements in the design of consumer goods. Such work has been exhibited in the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, which is the world's largest collection of modern design achievements.

The award is given in several categories. This year, in the nomination "Best product design" the prize “Red Dot: Best of the best 2013" was received by the Suunto Ambit2 Sapphire (HR) watch from the Ambit collection. Models in this line are designed for travelers, tourists and sportsmen.

Note that this is not the first award of the Finnish watch company Suunto. Designer Manager Antti Kujala said: "We are very pleased to receive this prestigious award.
