Valbray Introduces a Novelty - Oculus V.01 Chrono Argentique Watch

Summer novelty by the company Valbray - Oculus V.01 Chrono Argentique watch is positioned by its producers as an expression of passion for photography and nostalgia for its black-and-white era.
The novelty is presented in a circular enclosure made of titanium with black DLC coating, with which are contrasted chronograph pushers and crown, made of polished stainless steel.

The watch dial is double. Its first layer is made as a mechanism for the gate, as the diaphragm, like a camera. The layer consists of 16 "petals", mounted on special ceramic bearings that do not require lubrication. "Petals" are opened and closed manually by turning the bezel.
This design allows you to "expose" the dial with open aperture and open to the eyes and a second layer, with counters of the chronograph function and date display.
The lower dial is designed as a honeycomb and there is no hour marking. Hour and minute hands are skeletonized, second’s hand - red. The position of "12", "9" and "6" are counters and indicators.

When you rotate the bezel, the diaphragm is closed, and the dial becomes an austere and stylish watch with three hands. In the case when the shutter is fully open, the diaphragm blades are hidden under the bezel.
The basis of the watch - Swiss automatic movement ETA Valjoux based on 25 jewels, frequency balance of 28.800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and a power reserve of 44 hours.
The rotor of the model is unidirectional, skeletonized, on ceramic bearings.
Watch features: indication of hours and minutes, by the relevant central hands, display of seconds - on the counter at the 9 o’clock position, the date - in the aperture at the 10 o’clock position, and chronograph function with 12-hour counter which is located at 6 o’clock position and 30-minute – at the 12 o’clock position. To return to the chronograph, simply activate its function.
