BaselWorld 2012: Manero Retro Grade Watch - a restrained elegance, excellence and optimal mechanical functionality of the company Carl F.Bucherer

The watch company Carl F.Bucherer has presented at the annual international exhibition BaselWorld 2012 a novelty - a Manero Retro Grade watch - a representative of a unique watch collection of Manero, with a strong personality and a harmonious combination of functionality and elegant aesthetics.
The watch is presented in a clear design, which ensures optimum readability of an elaborate arrangement of four additional counters and seven hands.
As noted by the company’s representatives, the Manero Retro Grade watch is designed for business people, in living of which time plays a significant role. That is why in the development of the model the greatest attention is paid to the date indication, located at 3 o’clock position.
During the month the hand moves from top to bottom along the arc scale. When reaching the lower division, it jumps back to its original position. This type of display is called "retrograde." However, if the month is less than 31 days, the hand is moved by hand. Thus, tuning is very simple: the crown is pulled to the center position and the rotation is set with the correct date.
A special attraction of this model is a pointer to the day of the week, located symmetrically with the index of the date. Setting the day of the week and readings of the watch hand are carried out by the crown, extended to the third position.

The presented original watches are made on the basis of developed by Carl F.Bucherer watchmakers automatic caliber CFB 1903, provided a perfect and smooth functioning of all seven hands.
When the caliber is fully wound, which is carried out by means of ball-bearing rotor with a stylized logo of Carl F.Bucherer, even in the stationary the model can work for 42 hours. The gradual decrease of the power reserve is indicated by the secret progress pointer, which is located at 6 o’clock position. Among other things, the watch may wind up manually using the crown, decorated with three-dimensional brand’s logo.
Each rotation of the crown moves the hand of the power reserve indicator, which slowly moves to the left along the scale of larger size.
The crown of the watch is able to rotate, even when the hand reaches the mark “R”. The spring of the automatic mechanism is protected by overwinding with a highly specialized safety device.
The watch is equipped with another function, which is extremely useful for people who are often traveling around the world or in the case of communicating with partners from different countries: in fact, in both cases it is necessary to know the exact time in different time zones.

The Manero Retro Grade watch allows its owner to easily determine the time in different parts of the world. Thus, at the "12" o’clock position there is an additional hour hand. In contrast of the located in the center of the dial the main hour hand, which makes two rotations per day round its axis, a small hand is keeping time on a 24-hour scale.
This method of indexing makes it possible not to confuse day and night to even the most distant point on the planet. Low-key button to the left on the case is designed to set up evidence of an additional hour hand by means of its transfer from one division to another time. When installing the evidence need only to know the difference in time, and the number of minutes in all time zones - the same.
The elegant case of the model consists of three elements. The glass, covering the dial is sapphire with an antiglare coating.
The Manero Retro Grade (Ref: 00.10901.03.16.01) operates on the basis of automatic caliber CFB 1903 with a diameter 2.26 mm and a height of 5.1 mm on the basis of 34 jewels, with a reserve of 42 hours.
Functions: hours, minutes, seconds, retrograde date, weekday indicator, power reserve indicator, 24-hour indicator.
The watch case of 40 mm diameter and a height of 11.5 mm is made of 18 carat pink gold. Dial is white. Front glass – sapphire with anti-reflective coating, the back glass - sapphire. The watch water-resistant is 30 meters.
The watch brown strap is made from Louisiana alligator leather. The buckle is a classical type of 18-carat pink gold.
