BaselWorld 2012: The new “CK Agile” watch model by Calvin Klein fashion house

In the far 1968 2 friends – Calvin Klein and Barry Schwartz, – founded a clothes manufacturing company, called Calvin Klein. The distribution of roles was that Calvin was in charge of creative projects and created garment models and Barry was responsible for all financial and organization matters. In the start of its activity the brand produced only women's clothing, the designer started creating men's garments much later. Soon Calvin Klein's name started sounding more and more often within the fashion establishment and he started gaining fans and admirers, which enabled Calvin to broaden his production facilities and launch his own line of women's sportswear. In the early 70-ies women's clothing models by Calvin Klein attracted everyone's attention and kept winning bigger and bigger popularity among customers, fashion boutiques owners and fashion magazines editors thanks to its unusual sex appeal and sophistication.
In 1974 the designer launched a collection of accessories and fur products, called “by Calvin Klein”. 4 years after that he launched his first menswear collection. In the same 1978 Calvin produced the first designer jeans, having turned all the fashion industry upside down. He managed to do the inconceivable – raise the reputation of simple working uniform to the level of a Haute Couture object, thanks to which jeans became an essential part of the unfettered, stylish and fashion-forward youth. The unique cut of jeans trousers clinged the figure ideally and emphasized the length and the slenderness of legs.
In 1992 Calvin Klein introduced a completely new direction in the world's fashion industry: the “unisex” style wear, that fitted both young men and women. British top-model Kate Moss became the star of the advertising campaign for this trend. Namely this campaign brought Kate worldwide fame and renown and opened her the way to the Haute Couture world. Kate Moss became the brand's ambassador, being the ideal implementation of Calvin Klein's inimitable style.

In the end of 1997 the first watch from the world-famous clothing and accessories designer saw the light of day. Nowadays Calvin Klein actively cooperates with the Swatch Group holding, the largest watch manufacturer in the world. As a result of this partnership, СK Watch Co. Ltd. company appeared. The starting collection of CK Watches' stylish sportive timepieces consisted of two lines – the “Calvin Klein Watches” with sophisticated time measurers from the world of high fashion and the “СK Watches”, offering more vivid youth models for affordable prices.
This year Calvin Klein presents the new modern and elegant CK “Agile” model. This women's wrist watch is supplied with a revolutionary bracelet, consisting of two perfectly polished “cables” with a great buckle, representing a masterpiece of jewelery by itself. The case, made of stainless steel or PVD-coated gold, elegantly embraces the wonderful timepiece's pure lines, completing its luxurious feminine silhouette.
The version with the PVD-coated gold case has a silver dial and the version with the stainless steel case is equipped either with a black of with a silver dial. Both versions are minimalistic, supplied with “3”, “6” and “9” numeric indexes and the Calvin Klein brand's logo at the “12 o'clock” position. The women's Calvin Klein CK Agile wrist watches are executed both in small and medium sizes.
The models' dials are protected with mineral crystals. These watches are driven by the Swiss quartz ETA 901.001 movements with hours and minutes functions, they are water resistant up to 30 metres deep (3 ATM).
