Baselworld 2012: KudOktopus — Please, do not feed!

At Baselworld 2011 horology exhibition Stefan Kudoke presented his latest handmade creation - KudOktopus. The nomen of the model is a kind of symbol. Inside KudOktopus watch there is a real magic – moving octopus. Octopus's construction is designed in the way to provide its moving during workout period. Watch movement is skeletonized and hand-engraved. All this ensemble makes incredible feeling that deep blue sea world together with its inhabitants is hidden under the sapphire crystal of this watch. Octopus itself is made of 18carat rose gold, its tentacles are made of white rhodium. Elements of the movements, wheels , screws and gear-wheels are made of black rhodium and zinc-coated. The “inhabitant” of this watch keeps the movement tightly like it is time which is unlikely to loose. Movement makes 18'000vph. Power reserve is 46 hours. KudOktopus case is made of stainless steel. Case diameter is 42mm. Back lid is transparent, it is also made of sapphire crystal and through it movement of the watch is observed. Strap is made of genuine crocodile leather colored black. Clasp is folding. It is made of stainless steel and let to fox watch model tightly around wrist.
